Is Kajabi worth it for a course business? Start with the operating model
Kajabi is easiest to justify when several parts of the business genuinely belong together: products, landing pages, email, checkout, community and member delivery. If you only need one of those pieces, the all-in-one premium can be harder to defend.
The current Kajabi pricing page starts at $179/month on monthly billing. That is not a small purchase for a new creator, so the useful question is not “does Kajabi have enough features?” It is “which existing tools and operational handoffs would Kajabi actually remove?”
Good fit: one team owns the whole customer journey
Kajabi tends to make more sense when the same team creates the offer, builds the landing pages, sends email, takes payment and supports members. Fewer integrations can mean fewer places for tags, access rules and customer records to drift apart.
Less obvious fit: you already have a mature stack
If your WordPress site, email platform, community and checkout are already stable, moving everything simply to reduce the number of vendors can create more work than it removes. Migration cost, staff retraining and SEO risk are real operating costs even if they do not appear on the Kajabi invoice.
The plan limits tell you what Kajabi expects you to manage
When the all-in-one model creates real value
- You are replacing multiple paid tools rather than adding Kajabi beside them.
- Member access and marketing automation need to share the same customer state.
- A small team is spending too much time fixing integrations.
- You value a consistent admin workflow more than deep specialization in each tool.
When we would wait
If the offer is not validated yet, the audience is very small or the current stack has no obvious operational problem, a lower-cost tool can be a better proving ground. Annual billing is attractive only after you know the platform fits the business.
